Josh R. Carter
Throughout his career, Josh Carter has demonstrated his commitment to and firm belief in goals-based financial planning and wealth management, which is needed for representatives who work for Empeople Investment & Retirement Services. This means that they do not take a product-centric approach when they give advice. Rather, they strive to uphold a fiduciary standard, which means they make recommendations only when they are confident that they understand your current situation, goals, aspirations and values; and when they are equally confident that their recommendations are in your best interests. Josh is committed to putting Empeople members’ interests ahead of his own, which is the definition of a fiduciary.
Josh comes to us by way of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and Northwest Bank & Trust. While at Morgan Stanley, Josh focused on financial planning and held the internal designation of financial planning specialist.
Josh enjoys working with members in all stages of their financial journey. Whether our members are planning for retirement, college, a vacation home or any other objective, he will work collaboratively with them to pursue their goals.
Josh spends much of his time meeting with members on-site at the various John Deere facilities located in and around the Quad Cities area. When not in the office, Josh enjoys golf and spending free time with his family. He met his wife, Janelle, at Western Illinois University, where they both played NCAA Division I golf. Together, they have three children: twins Ben and Olivia and son Ryan. Josh and his family reside in Bettendorf, Iowa. Josh is active in the community with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi River Valley and with St. Paul Lutheran Church.
